2010 KFFNZ
The fourth Korean Film Festival showcasing five recent blockbuster films from Korea is scheduled to be held in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch in the last week of this month.
Two period dramas ‘The Servant’ and ‘Frozen Flower’ will entice New Zealand audiences with beautiful storylines featuring Korean traditional colors and dresses. An action/adventure and billed as Korea’s first disaster movie depicting a tsunami hitting the city of Pusan, ‘Haeundae’ will be an excellent thriller in the coming summer, while ‘Harmony’ starring Yun-jin Kim - a very well known Korean actress for the American drama series Lost - will touch the hearts of New Zealand audience. Marking the commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of the Korean War this year, a Korean war-themed ‘71 into the Fire’ will also be screened for VIP guests in three major cities.
This event is hosted by the Korean Cinerama Trust in association with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea.
